Joe switches on the jets!

The 8th event in the 2023 Beech House Dental Practice Time Trial League was the 25 miler on the A168 near Boroughbridge. The route starts from Boroughbridge, heading south to Walshford where the riders turn and head north all the way up to Dishforth before turning round and heading south to the finish at the Roecliffe roundabout.
The weather was warm with a moderate westerly wind. This crosswind provided quite favourable conditions for the riders. Just 9 riders from Harrogate Nova and Moonglu took to the start line, possibly due to the summer cross event on the same night.
Joe Turnbull (Nova) was first in a supersonic time of 53:12. What makes this time even more impressive is that Joe is still a junior. In 2nd place was Duncan Mullier (Nova) in 55:44 with Glen Turnbull (Nova) in 3rd place in 57:03. All riders on the night were riding time trial bikes. Richard Buckle wins the Thew Cup for most improved Nova rider.
