Guest rider Dexter wins!

Event number 5 in the Beech House Dental Practice Time Trial League was a 14-mile TT with a 2-loop route starting on the A168 and heading via Marton, Aldborough, Boroughbridge and back on the A168.

19 riders from Harrogate Nova, Moonglu and Harrogate Tri Club set off at 1-minute intervals.

The weather was mild with a strong breeze coming from the west.

Guest rider Dexter Leeming-Sykes was fastest rider with a time of 30:51 on a time trial bike. Next fastest rider was Duncan Mullier (Nova) in 33:09 on a time trial bike with Ed Wilson third on a time trial bike in 34:00.

Andrew Wild (Nova) was fastest rider on a road bike in 34:49. Tom Bromiley broke the schoolboy record in 34:55.

Jo Wallace (Moonglu) produced a solid time of 43:11 in the ladies group.

Next week’s event is the 18-mile TT 2-loop route starting at Milby, heading to Cundall then Norton-le-Clay and returning in the direction of Boroughbridge and Milby.
