ABC – Alex Beldon Conquers!

Event number 6 in the Ceta Form Time Trial League was the 2-lap circuit from Milby to Cundall, Norton-le-Clay and back. It was an alternative route due to roadworks on the Darley Hilly 19 course.

The weather was dry, warm with quite a strong breeze coming from the southeast.

13 riders from Harrogate Nova and Moonglu set off at 1-minute intervals.

Alex Beldon (Moonglu) was 1st on a time trial bike in a new course record of 36:35 beating Ben Pease’s record from last year by 88 seconds…amazing! In 2nd place was Duncan Mullier (Nova) on a time trial bike in 40:59 with Roger Bromiley (Nova) 3rd in a time of 42:40, also on a time trial bike.

Rob Senior (Nova) was fastest rider on a road bike in 42:56.

Roger Bromiley’s son Tom broke the schoolboy record in 43:27 on time trial bike.

Tilly Bland (Moonglu) produced a solid time of 51:05 in the ladies group, on a time trial bike.
