Scorchio!

Event number 10 in the Ceta Form Time Trial League was the 14-mile TT with a 2-loop route starting on the A168 and heading via Marton, Aldborough, Boroughbridge and back on the A168.

The Tour de France has been experiencing extreme heat and the 12 riders who lined up on the night also found it super-hot at 28degC. Thankfully, a light westerly breeze made it a bit more comfortable.

Duncan Mullier (Nova) was fastest on the night in 33:56 on a TT bike with Roger Bromiley (Nova) in 2nd in 34:39 on a time trial bike with Andrew Wild (Nova) in 3rd place on a road bike in 34:54.

Samuel Mullier (Nova) broke the junior road bike record in 36:14.

Thanks always go to Vaughan & Margaret Caswell, Roger Clarke, Roger Bromiley, Paul Coyle, Roger Bromiliey & Joanne Wallace for being the all-important support team on the night.

Next week’s event is the 18-mile TT 2-loop route starting at Milby, heading to Cundall then Norton-le-Clay and returning in the direction of Boroughbridge and Milby.
