Andrew goes Wild

The 9th event in the Ceta Form Time Trial League was the well-known 15-mile Boroughbridge route heading out to Walshford roundabout and back.

It was nice to have cooler weather after many weeks of the heat dome hanging over Britain.

Over the last few years cyclists have been using their weekend road bike for time trials which means there is no need for a specialist time trial bike. Some of our seasoned time triallers have even made the switch from using a time trial bike to using their aero road bike. We now find there is an even split between TT bike and road bike on a Wednesday night.

When the results were in, Duncan Mullier (Nova) was fastest on a time trial bike in 34:10 with Andrew Wild (Nova) in 2nd place on a road bike in 35:34. Samuel Mullier (Nova) came in 3rd in 36:11 on a road bike, breaking the junior road bike record in the process.

Thanks to the support team who enable each event to take place - Margaret & Vaughan Caswell, Caroline Mullier and Paul Coyle.

The next event is the 14-mile Aldborough TT on 9th July at 7.00pm.

Pictured is fastest road bike rider Andrew Wild (Nova).
