Messi or Milby?

Event number 11 in the Ceta Form Time Trial League was a 9-mile 1-lap circuit from Milby to Cundall, Norton-le-Clay and back. Due to be 2 laps, the event was shorted to 1-lap because of clashing with the World Cup semi-final between England and Argentina. It was a tough decision for riders, would they stay in and watch the match or would they do the time trial?

The weather was hot with a light wind. 9 riders set off at 1-minute intervals.

Duncan Mullier (Nova) was the fastest man in a time of 20:37 on a TT bike closely followed by Rob Senior (Nova) on a road bike in 21:02 with Samuel Mullier (Nova) in 3rd on a road bike in 21:39.

Well done to Jo Wallace (Moonglu) who was fastest lady in 26:28 on a road bike.

Duncan Mullier secured the men's and vets record whilst son Samuel secured the junior and junior road bike record. So, in conclusion in the football match, Messi didn’t score but at Milby it was the Mulliers who scored on the bike.

Thanks as always go to the all-important support team on the night.

Next week’s event is the 10-mile V212 time trial at Arkendale.
