Erin breaks multiple records!
Event number 3 in the Ceta Form Time Trial League 2026 was the 10-mile route from Roecliffe lane to Dishforth roundabout and back.
The weather was cool with a northerly wind making it slower on the way up to Dishforth but fast on the return leg.
19 riders signed on from Harrogate Nova, Moonglu and Harrogate Tri Club. It was an even split between riders on road bikes and those on TT bikes.
Duncan Mullier (Nova) recorded 22:42 on a TT bike to take 1st position. Rob Senior (Nova) was 2nd in 23:39 on a road bike with Andrew Wild (Nova) also on a road bike in 23:42.
Erin Denwood (Nova) was 1st lady in 25:37 on a road bike with Jo Wallace (Moonglu) 2nd in 29:35.
Erin is only 12 years old and broke 4 records on the night: the ladies overall course record, the schoolgirl course record, the ladies road bike record and the schoolgirl road bike record. The future looks very promising for Erin. It’s those Denwood genes!
Samuel broke the Junior road bike record too, taking after his father Duncan.
Steve Clarkson (Nova) won the Jowett cup for most improved rider on this course verses last year.
Thanks to Vaughan & Margaret Caswell, Caroline Mullier, Philip Wooldridge, Roger Bromiley and Tom Denwood for ensuring the event took place on the night.
Next week’s event is the 12m time trial on Pennypot Lane.
