Encore des juniors!

Event number 2 in the Ceta Form Time Trial League was the 9-mile round-route from Farnham to Minskip and back.

This week the weather was significantly cooler than last week’s balmy conditions with a strong northeaster to boot!

30 riders signed on from Harrogate Nova, Moonglu and Harrogate Tri Club. There an even split between TT bikes and road bikes.

Once again it was the same young riders from the Nova/Prologue race team who came in 1 and 2, just like last week. James Beagley dipped under 20 minutes with a 19:49 and Mark Ketteringham was just behind in 20:15. Veteran Nova rider, Duncan Mullier came in 3rd in a very competitive 21:11.

Nova rider, Tom Rowlay broke the men's vet’s road bike record in 21:27. Andrew Wild (Nova) was 2nd in 21:56 with Pete Ackroyd (Nova) 3rd in 22:41.

Tilly Bland was 1st lady in 26:17 on a TT bike, Joanne Wallace (Moonglu) was 2nd in 28:12 on a road bike with Robyn McLean (Moonglu) in 3rd in 30:09 on a road bike.

Again, Mark Ketteringham was the most improved rider, reducing his time by almost 4 minutes! James Beagley was next with an improvement of 169 seconds.

Thanks, as always to Margaret, Vaughan Caswell and Barry Martin for time keeping. Also, a big thank you to Roger Bromiley and Mike Cross for signage, to Mike Hudson, John Wood and Simon Ketteringham for the all-important marshalling; not forgetting Duncan Mullier for producing the results.

Next week’s event is the Roecliffe 10-miler.
