Rowlay wraps it up!

Event number 14 in the Beech House Dental Practice Time Trial League was a 4-mile climb from Lofthouse Fire Station up to Scarhouse Dam car park. This was the final event giving riders one more chance to improve their placing in the league.

The weather was mild with a light wind from the north-west.

12 riders signed on from Harrogate Nova and Moonglu.

There were some very fast times on the day.

Last year’s winner, Tom Rowlay (Nova) was 1st male in 11:33. Matthew Mullier (Nova) was 2nd in 11:55 with Pete Ackroyd (Nova) 3rd in 12:18).

Sharon Smith (Moonglu) was 1st lady in 15:49 with Joanne Wallace (Moonglu) 2nd in 16:24.

Tom Rowlay secured the Scar Dam trophy as fastest rider verses last year.

After the event, everyone headed to How Stean Gorge Café for refreshments.
