Roger wins!
The 8th event in the Ceta Form Time Trial League was an alternative route to the scheduled Kirby Hill 12-miler, due to road works. Initially heading north on the A168 up to Dishforth roundabout and retracing the route south, riders would then turn west on the B6265 towards the 1st roundabout at Ripon, before returning to the start. Total distance 14.6m.
The weather was warm with a light south-westerly wind. 11 riders from Harrogate Nova and Moonglu took to the start line, on a mix of TT bikes and road bikes.
Roger Bromiley (Nova) was first in a time of 34:04 on a TT bike. In 2nd place was Dave Mann (Moonglu) in 35:26 on a TT bike with Steve Clarkson (Nova) in 3rd place in 35:35 on a TT bike.
Mark Turnock (Nova) was fastest on a road bike in 37:07.
Amy Henchoz (Moonglu) was fastest lady on a road bike in 36:50.
Thanks to the support team who enable each event to take place – timekeepers, number-takers, signage, and marshals. A particular thanks go to Margaret and Vaughan Caswell, Duncan and Caroline Mullier, Rob Senior and Roger Bromiley.
The next event is the 15-mile Boroughbridge TT on 2nd July at 7.00pm.
