Coaching Sessions
The sessions are held weekly over 2 terms of the year: Autumn & Spring/Summer. Different off-road venues are used depending on the time of year. Check the joining page for details. The sessions are run in two groups, one for 30 mins for younger and less experienced riders and the second for 60 mins for older and more experienced riders. Children will be split into different groups depending on their ability and preferences.
All coaching is structured using the British Cycling coaching curriculum and are designed to equip riders with a skill set that can be transferred to different cycling disciplines. The sessions include lots of different activities to develop bike handling skills and techniques. The coaches take into consideration the knowledge, skills, and preferences of each young person as they prepare and lead sessions. The emphasis is on having fun!
