Harrogate Nova RT Line Up for CAMS Yorkshire Classic

Local roads, local talent - Nova riders set to impress at top domestic race

With Daniel Thompson making his mark overseas at the Nations Cup LVM Saarland Trofeo in Germany for Team GB, Harrogate Nova RT turn their attention to home turf next weekend, fielding a determined team of five riders for the CAMS Yorkshire Classic, part of the British Cycling National Road Series.

Under the guidance of team manager Mike Cross, the Nova squad – Harry, Magnus, Oscar, Dexter and Isaac – will take to the start line of this prestigious event held on familiar terrain, ready to showcase their strength and team cohesion in front of a home crowd.

“A-Levels have taken priority for Harry, Oscar and Isaac over the last few weeks, so they’ll be on the start line well rested and keen to compete on their local roads,” said Cross. “This event is a great opportunity to race against the UK’s top U23 talent, and with the course so close to home, there’s definitely extra motivation.”

The CAMS Yorkshire Classic offers a challenging route with rolling roads, exposed sections and short, punchy climbs that will test every rider’s resilience and race craft. For Harrogate Nova, it's not just about individual results but about riding smart, supporting each other, and showing what the team can do on one of the biggest days of the domestic calendar.

Magnus and Dexter, both in strong form through the early summer, will be looking to animate the race, while Harry, Oscar and Isaac bring a mix of race experience and local knowledge that could prove crucial if the race becomes tactical.

Whether it's riding in the break, covering dangerous moves or sprinting from a select group, the Nova riders will be out to make an impression in what promises to be a fast and unpredictable contest,

Supporters are encouraged to get behind the team – follow the action on our Instagram and British Cycling’s coverage, or better still, come and line the course to cheer on the lads in person. Every shout of encouragement makes a difference.

Let’s go Nova!
