Harrogate Nova CC

Well done Nova riders. I'm so jealous. It all looked so exciting.
I was driving the chief Comm in the Men's race, so we were right on the tail of the bunch for all 5 laps.
What happened to Tom D? I saw he had a mechanical on 1st lap. I thought he was out but then he re-joined after presumably time trialling off a half mile gap. Then he stopped again (lap 3?), puncture??
Anyway, great effort by all in grim conditions.

Simon - when Tom punctured he was given a wheel from one of the following cars then, as you pointed out, he got himself back into the bunch only for that wheel to come loose!! Proper bad luck and I think he felt a 2nd attempt at chasing back on wasn't on the cards.

Just wanted to add my thanks for all involved in organising the road race.

Don't know how you kept your cool with all those questions from the BC officials Dave!
