Almscliffe Crag Challenge - Result

Post by Margaret » Sun Oct 28, 2018 2:30 pm

We had a very good turnout for the runners v riders event with 11 riders taking part, with several new faces in the line up this year. The conditions were not ideal (very cold and windy, but at least it was dry and sunny). Here is the result:
1 Simon Ketteringham 37.10
2 Pete Watson 38.17
3 Paul Lehan 39.12
4 Paul Caswell 39.25
5 Andrew Stringer 40.15
6 Richard Stott 40.50
7 Stuart Newton 40.57
8 Edwin Stokes 41.07
9 Andy Coward 42.08
10 Martin Shaw 45.50
11 Chris Mawer 50.48
On the handicap system used the Harriers won the team trophy by just over 6 minutes
The Jim Hibberd Tankard for fastest rider was won by Simon Ketteringham 37m 10s
The Stefan Forge Trophy (Most improved ride on last year) was won by Edwin Stokes with and improvement of 5m 32s
Many thanks to all who supported the event both marshals and riders as well as spectators
Lastly - many thanks to Tony Essex and Harrogate Harriers who organised the event.

Thanks Margret & Vaughan it was really good to meet you both today. What a fantastic event, it was a really good laugh and way harder than I imagined. Next time I'll get my navigation right. Thanks also to Paul for the shoes! Great ride Simon.
