Richmond CC Sportive Sat 2nd June

Post by Mantis » Mon May 28, 2012 4:27 pm

There are few Nova riders entered into this, there are various route options, 50, 80 & 100 miles. Entries close on Thursday. Any other takers??! We'll set off riding for 8.30am.

I've optimistically entered the 100, will see how I feel at Hawes - the mind is strong but the legs are weak!

Cheers, Paul.

Well done to Simon K for posting fastest time of the day by 1 second from Greg and Paul Caswell packing the top 3 times ridiculous 4.31 . A Pantani effort up the mountains. We hear there were teeth marks on Simons stem as a result of major suffering over Park rash and Bellerby Moor. Greg you will get ftd one day if you attack, or elbow your way to the check in or hang back at the start. Thanks to big Mike for dragging Al Mantis Wilber and i around the course and dishing out gels and powder pills. Very solid group finish with 26th 27th 28th 29th 30th in 5.12/13. It ll take me a week to recover. Good luck for the little wiggle ride in South Wales next weekend

Another glaring error in the newspaper report then. It might make up for the last time when they spelt Simon with a "G" an "R" an "E" and a "G".

All rather embarrassing as Paul & Greg were much stronger than me & all I could do was desperatly cling on for the last 25 miles!
