16th & 17th fast ride

Anyone participating in a club ride, whether a club member or not, must abide by the Highway Code, ride responsibility, sensibly and respect other road users at all times. Please remember your behaviour on the bike reflects on the club, even if other road users don't share the same courtesy to you.

Joe I’m 50/50 buddy, pretty cooked so I may set of a little later. Will ping around 7:30 if I’m in.

No worries, I’ll just set off from home unless I hear from you then.

Did Augusto Pinochet present himself at his locsl cyclery before his third margarita had gone down? Did Ferdinand Marcos before he'd had chance to buy Imelda a new pair of shoes?

Ah true El presidente but did Fulgencio Batista achieve notoriety via a fangled TT bike - nope - he was a club rider through and through. Interestingly however, contrary to popular view, Pinochet didn’t like margaritas, he was a Chicago town Hawaiian man - who thought?

Not sure what you two are waffling about but have come up with the following:
https://www.strava.com/routes/13829379
It takes in the A59 climb as the road is still closed so gives us a chance to ride it without traffic.
Also gives people on a tighter time limit to peel off at Beckwithshaw.
Rather selfishly I've taken the route through Weeton towards the end as I'll be peeling off to ride round the Tour of Weeton with Isaac.
Organised by our very own Simon T - https://www.stbarnabasweeton.co.uk/events

Batista was more interested in subjugating and repressing the proletariat than doing a sub 50 minute 25 mile TT and I bet Pinochet's bezzy mate Thatcher told you that.

Route looks good.

Separate thread required methinks.
