Youth Ride Saturday 27 May

Following the initial Youth ride on the 13th May our second planned ride is scheduled for this coming Saturday. Please take time to read the email circulated by the club regarding the policies we have in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride for all. Parental consent forms should be completed and riders should be accompanied by an adult. The rides are designed as a stepping stone towards the Structured Ride. We will have two groups and two routes see planned routes below.

Group 1 will be expected to be reasonably confident on the road in terms of road awareness and general fitness / ability with the intention of a 14-15mph average speed being maintained within the group. The ride is circa 33 miles with a stop at Boroughbridge. Group 2 is aimed at those a little less confident in terms of the distance /speed and general ability with a shorter 23 mile route planned circa 12-13 mph taking in some of the same roads and meeting up at the same Café this time at Boroughbridge, Bean Vintage just off the square Y051 9BA. At present we don't have a volunteer to lead this group so if anyone wants to stick their hand up that would be great. The success of these will only come from a few of us being involved.
