alternatively reliable sunday 28th

Anyone participating in a club ride, whether a club member or not, must abide by the Highway Code, ride responsibility, sensibly and respect other road users at all times. Please remember your behaviour on the bike reflects on the club, even if other road users don't share the same courtesy to you.

alternatively reliable sunday 28th

I've spotted that the reliability will be coarsing through north leeds roadways and with the dales ont door I don't think I will be participating.

I therefore propose an alternative (unofficial) ride instead being Knaresborough - Ripon - Masham - East witton - coverdale - coffee stop in kettlewell - grassington - greenhow - hame

Obviously this isn't a short ride and therefore won't be undertaken at the usual brutal reliability pace, but I'd still anticipate averages around 18mph however, there is nothing stopping more than 1 group doing the route.

I'm also thinking this type of route could entice pete "the shep" shepherd back out on a club ride.

Would be thinking maybe 8.30 set off from texaco in knaresborough and going pretty direct to masham.

And no, i haven't looked at the weather forecast yet.....

I'm in!! Well, I'll try and keep up until West Tanfield, but might only make it to Ripon and turn back before the hills.

Frosty, I'm absolutely in wind, rain or shine, although I'd vote against a coffee stop (every minute away from the family is precious cycling time ;-).... maybe I'll just do laps of the block?! 830 Texaco great. I can't find Hame on the map. Hamme in Belgium nr Ghent? That last leg is a big one....

Nice one Niall ;)
If for whatever reason I don't go to Wales and I have a road bike back together I'll give you a shout.
Cheers
