Manc Velodrome

Post by frosty » Tue Aug 26, 2014 5:41 pm

All,

I was invited along to the manchester velodrome as part of a group of 16 from Harrogate last saturday. Good fun on a 2hr session with a "coach" who took the newbies aside, explained fixed wheel and how to progress onto the track. We then did some timed flying laps, some chain gang through and off and finished with a timed team pursuit.

It was £31.50 for 2hrs including bike hire (I took my own shoes with look delta cleats). What would be the likelihood of 16 members fancying something similar? I could look into booking (or get Dave Morris as he is obviously the BC representative so I think this comes under his remit   )

We've done this a few times before and I'd be in for it, especially over winter. (Well only in the off season).

Yes happy to look into it.
Straw poll for those interested.
Would you prefer midweek Thursday evening, Saturday evening or Sunday lunch?
Expect the weekend slots to fill up.

In the past we've done a mid week session.
Also, it can't be long before York Velodrome is up and running.

I'd be up for a track session - fairly relaxed about timing
