Bromiley takes the win!

Event number 10 in the Beech House Dental Practice Time Trial League was the 15-mile straight out-and-back route from Boroughbridge heading south to Walshford roundabout and then returning north to Boroughbridge. This was the 2nd time the course had been used in 2022 giving competitors the opportunity to compare and better their times. The weather was cloudy with a quite strong cross wind from the east but meaning there would no head or tailwind to contend with on the course. 9 riders, all from Harrogate Nova set off at 1-minute intervals. Roger Bromiley was fastest rider with a time of 34:40 on a time trial bike. Next fastest rider was Rob Senior on a road bike in 35:32. In third position was Liam Evans on in the TT category. Fourth rider was 14-year-old James Beagley with a cracking time of 36:55 at an average speed of 24.4 mph. James is a very strong rider and able to keep up with the Nova A group on Saturdays…impressive! Credit goes to Martin Shaw who improved on his best in the LTS (last three seasons) by 274 seconds and topped the LTS result for the night. Thanks once again to all the volunteers for setting up, timekeeping marshalling. Next week’s event is the 15-mile TT 2-loop route starting on the A168 and heading via Marton onto the B6265 north towards Boroughbridge, turning west at the Aldborough junction and then heading down towards and onto the A168 going south to repeat the course again.
