Post by BigMike » Fri Aug 31, 2012 6:36 am

Hi All,

Anyone got any plans for a ride on Sunday? I am hoping to meet at POW 08:30 and ride with Mantis over to Otley/ilkely area for a few hours. Anyone else keen?

Hi Mike, if my legs have recovered from todays ride I'll join you, I've been out over the Forest of Bowland area today -121miles all in, a great day out, a bit shattered at the minute though.

Cheers

Pete

awesome guys, we have a good crew building! POW is prince of wales round about at the bottom of Leeds rd near Weetons! Seriously guys, we should all do the dishforth circuit races.... it was awesome and super safe being closed roads, no real turns and very wide!

See you all tomorrow

ps Pete, 121 miles........ youre a beast!! okay a small beast like an aggresive rabbit but still a beast!! :-)

Mike, I am sure Pete will let the hills do the talking tomorrow for that!! I'm probably going to go it alone early tomorrow. Have a good one, Mark

Big thank you to you all for being so accommodating. I have to say you lot destroyed me! All my leg strength was gone within the first few hills, and I was on limp mode for most of the ride. I lost the pack at Otley, and I hope you weren't waiting round in vain. It was the first roundabout on the dual carriageway, lost the back wheel and that was it! Lesson learnt.

I would be grateful to be allowed back to ride with you lot even if it means I only get a certain distance around at the pack pace.

Again thanks, really enjoyed it.

HI Matt, it was great to meet you. A few more rides and you'll be right up there! You are always welcome, more the merrier as far as we are concerned. If its any consolation my legs are shredded!Sitting at the cafe in Ilkley at 10.30 I thought we'd better get going If I was going to make it into work for 12, little did I suspect that I'd be in Headingley by 11.15!!!! That was rapid! Greg towed us up the Chevin at amazing pace! Really enjoyed it, see you next weekend maybe. I'm hoping to make the Dishforth race next week.Cheers, Paul.
