Zwift Group Ride

Post by daveymorrisuk » Fri Mar 27, 2020 8:44 am

Hi all,
I’m organising a group Zwift Ride for Sunday morning 29th at 9:30.
The ride is around 1.5 hours on the Sand and Sequoias route and regardless of pace Zwift will rubber band us all together so no one can race away or be left behind. We may have an after party without the band effect if people are keen.
I can only invite people who follow me on Zwift at the moment, so if you fancy joining us then please send me a follow request on Zwift “David Morris (nova.cc)” and I can invite you.
I’ve also set up a Discord channel if you fancy being chatty at the same time.
https://discord.gg/yceX7Az

Hopefully virtually see some of you on Sunday.
Ride On.

Regards
Dave

Don't forget I need to invite you to the meetup so please send me a follow request in Zwift so I can do this.
Logon to Zwift 5 minutes or so before the start time and then click Join Event. This will take you to a holding area where you can virtually "warm-up" and chat with others who have joined in.
Be fun to give this a go with a wider audience.
Please contact me if you'd like advice or help on how this works or just not sure what this is all about.
Thanks
Dave

I’m not on Zwift, but think I might have a dabble.
Mark has done a few non drop meet up rides with some of his training pals & it seems to work pretty well.
I had to Google discord
Maybe do a Strava post?

Zwift have just released their March update so it would be a good idea to allow a bit of extra time to download and apply this update. Or you may want extra time to buy that new F12 from the drop shop 😝

Also, don’t forget about the change to BST tonight.

Ray has just released a massive review of apps if you want to compare between them. https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2020/03/cyc ... guide.html

It might be a tad early for me, what with the clocks changing, but I'll try. I have followed you. Or maybe Matthew will do it. If it's sunny though I'll have to go on the road while we can.

But which bike to use? Maybe the Tron bike in Orange.
