Fast, hilly & long ride Sunday 19th May

Post by simonkett » Wed May 15, 2019 1:04 pm

I know quite a few people are doing the Etape Du Dales this Sunday, but a few of us are planning a ride from Harrogate.

Route here -https://www.strava.com/routes/18908690

I'm meeting Mantis, Jurgen & Jimmy P at Prologue for an 8.15 am prompt departure. 91 miles of some of the best bits in the Struggle Dales Sportive.

We'll be pressing on, with average speed likely to be 18mph plus. Possible short cafe stop at Masham. Aiming to be back in Harrogate for 1.45pm.

Please post if you are intending to join us.

To be honest I’m actually more tempted by this and just riding out from Harrogate. Great route!

Looking forward to it - sort of - am hoping my legs stop feeling dead by then !

might or might not be problematic going out via the queen ethelburgas part of penny pot though - they are making riders walk it apparently as its all dug up.

has anyone got through ??

I’m in, at least for part. I’m working on a pass for the full duration.
