Not Leisurely, But not spinning your legs off

Not Leisurely, But not spinning your legs off

Post by chriss » Thu Jan 12, 2012 12:01 pm

Hello.

Hope everyone is well. I am planning a ride this Sunday (15th Jan)

Meeting at the Prince of Wales Roundabout.

Not 100% sure on meeting time. TBC

I avg about 14-15 mph (sometimes 13mph) and am riding with 2 others already (Stephen Campkin & Jon). All welcome and we always wait for others..... Generally me as I'm rubbish at hills.

I will confirm times later.

thanks

Hi Chris,

Think I'll join you for this. Need an easy zone 1 ride for Sunday after saturdays exertions :)

Looks like it might be frosty, so I'd say 9:30 to allow it to warm up a bit

I hope to be there. It depends on how icy the roads are.

Thanks to Malcolm, Dave, Geoff, Steve and Jon for coming out today. (6 IN TOTAL)

Great ride and great company, finished with a coffee (tea for me) at Cafe Rossa.

I have a feeling my Garmin is telling porkies here, Dave if you have your stats can you put yours on too as I think we did closer to 40 miles.

Next week Dave is organising a club ride and I was intending on going out with a slow group so there are no excuses. Get out on a club ride!! Meet at POW (Prince of Wales) roundabout in harrogate

Thanks Again

Cheers Chris,

Enjoyed it - nice easy spin. Just what I needed after the velodrome yesterday :)

I make it 40 miles - http://app.strava.com/rides/3359722 (excuse avatar haha)

Bit more work required on club riding though. Important to keep it together in tight 2x2 formation - just takes practice :)
