Club ride 15th Jan

Post by peteshep » Wed Jan 11, 2012 10:39 pm

Hi all, I'm going to suggest a moderate club ride for this weekend. Being moderate I mean a good pace but able to chat and with the odd sprint for the signs, but definitely not a full on race and we will wait for people and have a cafe stop. I suggest meeting at the Bishop Monkton cross roads, which is about the same distance for Nidderdalers as well as those from Harrogate, and then heading out on the back roads towards Leyburn and back via Masham. Distance is 50miles from Bishop Monkton, but we can always cut it short if thats the consensus. Meet at 9:30 at Bishop Monkton.
Please reply to this post if you intend to turn up.

Cheers

Pete

Any idea where the cafe stop will be. I'm out with the lower group and could try meet up.

Time and location? No drama if not planned or not sure on timings

thanks

Hi Chris, if we make Leyburn the cafe stop will be Penleys, if the ride gets cut short at Newton le Willows then it will be Border house teas in Masham. On the route I planned on it is the same distance to Masham as Leyburn, obviously it's a shorter distance back from Masham. I'm not great on estimating time, but going on the distance I'd say 11:30am. Final decision will be made on the day, but I would like to go to Leyburn.

Pete, just the thought of riding up to Leyburn is making me rather jealous of you boys and girls. Wish I could be there, that's a great ride. enjoy it.

Hi Pete. Can you confirm meeting place and time for Sunday 15th. There is some confusion as to whether it is the cross roads in Bishop Monkton, the one on the A61 or even at the Drovers. Drovers is probably best actually.

Sorry for the confusion about the meeting place.
Ok, meet at the Drovers (or what's left of it!) at 9:20 or the cross roads in Bishop Monkton at 9:30. See you there.

Pete

I'll set off from the Empress at 8.50 if anyone wants to join from Harrogate.
