Will try and make it, although might need to cut off early at some point.

I'm meeting Paul C at Menwith Hill crossroads at 9:00 and heading out Kettlewell or Malham way. Any other interest? Leaving the army camp roundabout at 8:40.
Medium paced ride with a cafe stop.
Cheers

Good route, pace and company. Back just in time to say good bye to the in-laws then onto watching the rugby...now thinking of a curry later..perfect day? :)

At this time of year early starts mean more chance of ice. Could wreck next season so not worth it if you don't have to.
Nice ride but the legs only just held out.

Sounds a good ride and I'm glad that a moderate ride has been restarted. Like others I'll be there in the New Year once the 'cross season finishes. Please keep it going until then! As much as I enjoy CX I'm looking forward to getting back to riding with a group on the black stuff.

Cheers

Neil

Niall many thanks for sticking your head up above the the parapet - ride was good, good route, pace about right and good banter.
Personally I thought the start time was ok, but, we all need to be a bit flexible. there seems to be a dispute over 9 or 9.30? We're not miles apart. Suggest we might want to go for 9.15, surely 15 minutes +/- is'nt going to upset anyone, is it? However if you are planning a earlier / alternative ride please do not post it on the same thread (Pete) this just confuses matters and fragments the planned moderate ride.
Hope we all try to keep this ride going - discussion is good the more the merrier. Starting a new thread for next Sunday anyone want to follow on from Niall's great start? Routes please? time? discuss!

Dennis

It needs a common time and place or things will fragment again. If numbers are too large (wishful thinking  ) groups can split up. We don't need to be doing 60 mile rides at this time of year. It is the 'off season' after all, apart from the mudlarks.

I'm glad the moderate group worked out and looking forward to joining you when I stop mud-larking about :)

My preference is for a 9.30 start based on frost/ice/sleep reasons, but wouldn't be too devastated if it was 9.15am and I agree that a common time and meeting place will help establish this group.
