Harrogate Nova shine at the BSCA junior circuit champs

On Saturday 18th May, the British Schools National Circuit Race Championship (including the Yorkshire Schools Regional Champs) took place at the Brownlee Circuit in Leeds.

A strong contingent of Nova juniors competed with excellent riding by all and there were some outstanding results.

Orla Hamilton took 2nd place overall in the U7 girls and with another year still to go in this age group, she will definitely be one to watch in 2020!

The U9 boys saw brothers Angus and Alfie Millar put in sterling performances in the largest field of the day with Angus finishing in a brilliant 3rd in the regional section, (5th overall) and Alfie finished in a very credible 14th.

The U11 boy’s category was fiercely contested with the usual strong Nova representation. Mark Ketteringham took 3rd place in the regional standings (5th overall) and hot on his wheels were James Beagley (5th), Magnus Denwood (8th), Charlie Hobson (9th) and Cormac Denwood (10th).

Thanks go to Otley CC for hosting and organising the event. Well done everyone!

And finally, to cram in some additional training miles and to keep the legs spinning, some of the U11s boys followed a busy week of racing with a group social ride, creating their own Nova train and pushing the parents hard to keep up!

Well done to all of the Nova Juniors!

Also, a massive thank you (as always) to the parents & volunteers who, without the contribution of their valuable time, energy and passion, none of the Nova Junior enjoyment and activities would really be possible!
