Yorkshire Cross off to a slippery start

With rain on the Saturday and drizzle on and off throughout the morning, the start of the Yorkshire Winter Cyclocross got underway in Skipton with a slippery start.

Held on a disused Golf course at Aireville Park, the circuit provided lots of elevation gain and many an opportunity for the course designers to include off camber turns and traverses to test the riders skills.

28834322253_669de95502_zNova members were represented in all races with Charlie Lehan and Joe Sarmiento in the Youth’s race.  Chopping up the course in the Seniors was Charlie’s dad Paul, Richard Hamilton, Dave Morris, Ed Evans (CXM),Garry Marks and new to the category this year, Louis Mason.  The course seemed to be drying out for the vets race making racing much easier for the old bones of Ted Sarmiento (CXM), Tim Evans, John Graveling, Nick Mason and Mick Bowmen.

Results are available on the Yorkshire Cyclocross website.
